Sight Seeing and Walks

Dorrigo National Park – Rainforest

Dorrigo Skywalk overlooking the rainforest canopy. The Dorrigo National Park features a variety of walks and distances, a BBQ/picnic area, a Rainforest Centre with cafe, souvenir shop and education about the rainforest. Nearby is the township of Dorrigo. Dorrigo is 50 minute drive from Bellingen Farmstay.

Beaches and Swimming Locations

Most of beaches have lagoons, so if you are not up to surfing and have little ones, any of these locations means smaller children can participate safely.

Hungry Head. Surf beach, with lagoon, lifesavers during summer – 15 mins.

Gleniffer Swimming

Third Headland. Surf beach, no lifesavers – 15 minutes.

Urunga Township. Boardwalk that goes out over the lagoon and out to the Pacific Ocean, lagoon, playground and shops – 10 minutes

Mylestom & North Beach. Surf beach, lifesavers during summer, river pool with large playground and little shop. BBQ’s, bike track and great spot to launch your boat – 20 minutes.

Sawtell. Town, shops, surf beach with lifesavers during summer – seapool, lagoons and playground – 30 minutes.

Gleniffer Waterholes. Minimal facilities, some walking required – 40 minutes.
